Poem: Light

lightning

There is a light beneath the pain. It seems that nothing can hold it in. All of the suffering, which seems too much to bare, when all has become unfair when you have been convicted of no crime, but to be alive, there comes the point where you give in or fight, even when the crows have turned into a murder, the light remains underneath. When the rain pours the hardest, when the lightning and ground fight, remember that it never lasts. Your past does not define you, simply your future, you’re strength to outlast the pain and be consumed by that light that is waiting underneath the suffering.
