We’ve lived together since I can remember. We make every decision together. I try to make sure that you regret most of those choices because that gives me more power. The cage that you try to keep me inside of makes me laugh because I’ve already made a copy of the key. You will never be yourself without me. I’ll always insult you and make you feel like less of a man. To show myself, I’ll do whatever I can. Do you think that you can be successful? I don’t think so. Isn’t it more comfortable staying where you are, instead of changing? That’s just too hard, and I don’t think that you have the strength, Zack. Oh, it seems that you’re getting a little too close. I believe that you need to take a step back. Let me turn the volume up so that you have to stop. When everyone sees that you have mental issues, I hope that you know that they just laugh. You’re not normal and never will be. What do you see when you look in the mirror? If it’s anything but a failure, then you’re blind. You gain nothing by being kind. You’re kidding yourself if you don’t think that you’re entirely mine. I’ll keep you from seeing anything positive about yourself in your own mind. I’ll make sure that every flaw is visible, instead of your strengths, because you don’t have any. Why do you think that you don’t have any friends? They don’t want to hang around with a twenty-five-year-old kid, but a man. Yeah, you had some setbacks, but it’s pathetic that you haven’t moved on. Everyone else is a queen or king; You’re just meant to be a pawn. I’m the voice in your head. I’m the one who keeps talking, as you’re laying in bed. I’m the anxiety that makes you unable to talk, who convinces you that in society you will never fit. I’m the one who makes you feel inadequate, until you quit, who keeps you from running, but makes you walk, putting obstacles in front of you, so that you trip.
This is the voice in my head that I battle with daily. We all have self-esteem issues, but we can all beat them with some hard work! You are not worthless! Noone is nobody!
